At 1st Move International we do not ship any goods without first preparing them for export.
Your pre-packed possessions are carefully loaded to your own export
pallet (or pallets).
This pallet is then further bubble wrapped, heat treat shrink-wrapped with a strong black,
polymer bag, further secured with 2 polymer straps, then measured EXACTLY.
This
process ensures that your goods are safe and secure on their own pallet. We are one of the very few
international removals companies who employ this system of
shipping.
Whilst our shipping rates are some
of the most competitive in the UK, the costs involved in collecting,
preparing your goods for export then shrink-wrapping to pallets may, occasionally,
make our services uneconomical for small, single items and we regret
that we have to impose a minimum charge to cover our pre-shipment
packing and palletising procedures.
Our
minimum volume charge for shipping personal effects
to any of our 5000 worldwide depots is for 2.00 cubic metres.
Example pallet size = 1 metre x 1 metre x 2 metres high.
(in most cases this will mean a shipping charge in excess of £ 300.00)
This may make our services
uneconomical for those smaller moves.
